Miriám Módi
Testimony:
I grew up in a Hungarian home in Romania. Christianity and faith have always played an important role in my life. I had the privilege to grow up in a Christian home and I was part of an amazing church community, whom I regard my family. My church has been partnering with Canadian and American churches to build a camp in Romania, Camp Falcon Rock. Thus, as long as I can remember, faith and missions have been really appealing to me and from a young age I fell in love with the idea of serving God. However, it was only at age thirteen when I understood what salvation really meant and I dedicated my life to serve God.
As I continued my walk with Christ, there were several people who took the time and energy to invest in my life. Two of these people were my youth leaders, Paul and Tanya Gericke, who are Canadian missionaries in Romania. The more I served alongside them in church, youth group and camp ministry, the closer missions grew to my heart, and I was convinced there’s nothing else I would consider valuable enough to live for.
As I finished high school, Tanya encouraged me to apply to a Bible school so I could learn more about God, strengthen my faith and build a solid foundation for whatever is coming next, and this is how I ended up at Word of Life Hungary. The two years I’ve spent at the Bible Institute were crucial faith and character vise. Although I did have many doubts and fears at the beginning, due to God's faithfulness and the people he has places around me, here I am, excited to start my internship and witness how God is going to bring glory to his name throughout this year.
It's a huge privilege to be part of this team and the ministry of Word of Life.
