Todd & Beth Meyerdirk
Ministry
Todd serves as the campus pastor at Word of Life Hungary, as well as a resident Bible teacher. He and Beth together coordinate the Internship program, working with interns who serve in all areas of Word of Life Hungary’s ministry. These various roles provide Todd with numerous opportunities for a wide variety of ministry, including Bible teaching, practical ministry training, pastoral care, mentoring, and evangelism. Testimonies Todd |
At the age of eight I was baptized. Even though I understood the gospel, I failed to recognize my own personal need for a Savior. However, when I was thirteen, the Holy Spirit convicted me of my personal sinfulness and I cried out to Jesus to save me. After completing a masters of theology at Dallas Seminary I made plans to serve as a missionary with SEND International. I met Beth through SEND and we were slated to go to Ukraine as a couple. Our plans to go to Ukraine never materialized. Instead, I served as pastor and associate pastor in a number of Stateside churches and was ordained by the EFCA. I’m excited for this renewed opportunity to minister internationally. At the core of my life mission statement is a vision to mentor and equip at least 50 young men to be careful students of God’s Word with a solid biblical world view and the tools to pass the same on to others. My ministry at Word of Life Hungary has opened the door for me to use my gifts and passions in the realization of my mission statement to a greater degree than ever before.

I am also thankful to have grown up in a home where my parents loved Jesus. I trusted in Him as my Savior as a young child. I went on to college, including two years at Moody Bible Institute, where I received excellent Bible training. I traveled overseas on a few mission trips, gaining a larger worldview and seeing the international body of Christ. I felt the Lord tugging on my heart to move overseas, but life continued and that move did not materialize. Along the way, I met Todd, we married and had three daughters. Once again, we have been presented with the opportunity to serve in a country not our own. I am thrilled to be serving with our family in Hungary.
